Secure erase HDD
Usually, server/RAID consist of 2 or more hard disks, the first step we should do is to solve the hardware problem. For example, when 2 of the hard disks got head failure, we need to make clone image for both hard disk, then analyze & rebuild the whole RAID to recover data. The structure of different server and RAID system may not be same, but we have well experience to handle different kinds of failure.

One of the key solutions to eliminate the risk of data falling into the wrong hands is to degauss hard drives prior to disposal. Hard drive degaussers use powerful magnets or an electromechanical 「pulse」 to erase data from hard drives. Similarly, tapes should also be properly degaussed before disposal. 數據銷毀後儲存裝置還可使用嗎？
視乎裝置類型及銷毀程序，數據銷毀程序分軟件和硬件，軟件程序主要是在裝置上重覆寫上數據，令最原來的數據無法還原，這種做法裝置便可繼續使用，但缺點是處理時間比較長。而硬件方法是利用消磁機，將裝置上的磁性信號徹底破壞，消磁後的硬碟是無法再使用的，但部份磁帶消磁後是可以繼續使用。消磁所需時間比較快，一般 1-2 分鐘便可完成，比較適合需要大量棄置裝置的客戶。

Secure erase HDD

One of them is Software Erase, by overwriting the sector of the disk with a new value with a certain amount of passes to ensure that the data is harder to recover.
